LIMONE Screens in Los Angeles as Part of HollyShorts Monthly Screening Series

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Award-winning Venice-set short film heads to LA with in-person screening, virtual release, and audience voting on BitPix

Los Angeles, CA — Following its Top Jury Prize win at the Rome International Film Festival, LIMONE, the Venice-set short film written and directed by Sohrab Mirmont, will screen in Los Angeles on January 28 as part of the HollyShorts Film Festival

Monthly Screening Series.

The in-person screening will take place at LOOK Dine-In Cinemas, with showtimes at 7:00 PM, followed by a filmmaker Q&A. Director Sohrab Mirmont will be in attendance to participate in the post-screening discussion.

Tickets for the theatrical screenings are available through the LOOK Dine-In Cinemas box office website, with LIMONE screening as part of curated HollyShorts short film blocks.

In addition to the live event, LIMONE will be released virtually on BitPix, HollyShorts’ official streaming partner, beginning January 28 at 12:00 AM (midnight). The film will stream globally through Sunday and will be available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, iOS, Android, and web browsers via BitPix.

Viewers can access the virtual screening by subscribing to the HollyShorts Monthly Screening Bundle, which includes access to all selected films on BitPix. During the virtual run, audiences are encouraged to watch, share, and vote—the film with the highest number of views will be awarded the Audience Choice honor.

“This screening represents a pivotal moment for LIMONE,” said Mirmont. “HollyShorts has a strong track record of championing filmmakers at the intersection of festival cinema and industry discovery. Bringing the film to Los Angeles—both theatrically and digitally—allows us to connect with audiences, collaborators, and supporters as we continue building toward the feature-length version.”

Filmed entirely on location in Venice, Italy, LIMONE follows Marino, a weathered Venetian water-taxi captain navigating grief, redemption, and human connection along the city’s historic canals. The short film serves as a proof of concept for a feature film currently in development.

Audiences attending the in-person screening or watching virtually are encouraged to spread the word, attend the Q&A, and support the film during its BitPix run by watching and sharing the screening link.
